Quarterly Youth Forum - September 2026

P4YE hosted its Quarterly Youth Voice Forum, bringing together members of the Youth Voice Steering Group, Croydon Council representatives, police and local partners to focus on one key priority: **how to make Croydon safer for young people**. The forum centred on sharing and discussing recommendations developed by young people, outlining how they want to improve safety across their communities. The discussions gave young people the opportunity to explain their concerns, highlight gaps in existing approaches and put forward practical ideas directly to the professionals and decision-makers responsible for local services and community safety.

Community Day - August 2026

P4YE joined the community day in Croydon to engage with residents and young people, capture their views and create content highlighting local perspectives on community safety. The team interviewed the Mayor, spoke with members of the public and invited young people to share how safe they feel in Croydon and what they believe would make the borough safer. Through on-camera surveys and the interactive Croydon Vibe Check Quiz, which brought guests and young people together, P4YE created opportunities for conversations, participation and youth voice. The activity helped capture community perspectives in a fun and engaging way, ensuring young people's views on safety were heard and brought into wider conversations about making Croydon a safer place.

CAMHS Consultation - May 2026

P4YE facilitated a focus group with young people at a school supporting pupils who experience emotionally based school avoidance/refusal, in partnership with Croydon CAMHS. The session focused on what helpful and accessible wellbeing support in Croydon looks like from young people's perspective. The aim was to create a safe opportunity for young people to share their thoughts, experiences and views about mental health and wellbeing support, and to consider what could make support more useful and appropriate for young people in the borough.

P4YE worked in partnership with Croydon Council to engage young people in conversations about what makes them feel safe, where they feel unsafe and what needs to change within their communities. The consultation provided young people with an opportunity to share their lived experiences, raise concerns and identify the places, situations and issues that affect their sense of safety. It explored their views on safe spaces, community environments, violence, antisocial behaviour and the support they would like to access.
